All You Need to Know about Roadrunner Email Settings

The versatile email service Roadrunner is used by innumerable users for both personal and professional functions. The service is provided by Time Warner Cable (TWC) Internet Service Provider and the services can only be used once you are done with the Roadrunner email settings. In this blog, we would be dealing with the POP, IMAP, and SMTP server for your Roadrunner email setup.





First, let us provide you with the server settings,


Username: Full Spectrum email address

Password: Password of Spectrum email

SSL: “On”

Protocol: “IMAP”

Port: “993”

Port: “587”

Requires Authentication: Yes or checked



Roadrunner email setup via POP 3:

·         Open the home page and click on “Settings”;

·         Click on “Settings” and then choose the “Add mail account” tab;

·         Now enter the information required including your name, Roadrunner email address and password, and description. All these details are then verified;

·         Enter the details regarding the server then select Roadrunner email settings POP 3 in the Incoming mail server option;

·         Enter the following details - 

Hostname - pop-server.dc.rr.com

Username - Roadrunner email address

Password - Roadrunner password

 

Click on “Submit” after entering all the aforementioned information.

·         Now enter the following information on the Outgoing mail server

Hostname: mobile-SMTP.roadrunner.com

Username: Roadrunner email address

Password: Roadrunner password

·         Click the “Save” button after entering credentials and then choose your email address in the nested boundary;

·         Click on the SMTP button present at the bottom of the page below the outgoing mail server after clicking on the email address;

· Under the main server, choose the “mobile-SMTP.roadrunner.com” tab;

·         In this step, the user receives a new page that displays details of SSL and port. Enter SSL: “none” and Server Port:“25”;

·         Verify the details and click the “OK” tab to leave the main server page; and

·         When taken to the previous page, select the “Advanced” option where you have to enter.

SSL: “none

Server port: “pop-server-dc.rr.com”

·         Hit the “Done” option after which the user will be taken to the previous page which will be the last step in Roadrunner email server settings with POP3.


Roadrunner email setup with IMAP:

 

For this method, open the Roadrunner application and log in to your account, uncheck the automatic configuration option and select the manual setup option then select “IMAP” and enter:

·         Account type: IMAP”

·         Incoming server: twc.com”

·         Incoming mail server port: 143”

·         Security type: SSL/TLS”

And:

·         Outgoing server: twc.com”

·         Outgoing port: 587”

·         Security type: none”

·         “Insecure port: none”

Enter the Roadrunner email and password, then uncheck the secure server option along with the option of the verified certificate. After the SMTP authentication is over, you’ll be taken to the next step where you again have to provide the credentials, click on “Next”, provide the account name and then finish by clicking on “Done”.

 

Roadrunner email setup with SMTP:

 

To set up your Roadrunner email with SMTP, enter the following Roadrunner email settings after you launch the application.

 

Mail.twc.com should be set as an SMTP server;

“Outgoing SMTP Port: 587”;

“Security type shall be SSL/TLS”; and

Click on “OK” to confirm the setup and save the changes.
